London Transportation
I used the tube, buses, and the national railway to get around London, as well as for my day trips to Oxford and Cambridge.
From Heathrow Airport, Terminal 2, I took the Piccadilly Line to Hammersmith. It was a 35- to 40-minute ride without any delays. From the Hammersmith station, it was an 8-minute walk to the hotel.
Hints: I used the Citymapper and TfL Go apps on my phone. Both apps have great navigation tools and maps to guide you to and from all over London and nearby cities. I didn't buy an Oyster card. I paid for all my rides by tapping my phone with a credit card in my digital wallet. Remember to tap your card or phone before exiting each TfL station.
